Celebrating Success in The Legal 500 2024

We are delighted to announce that, for the seventh consecutive year, Butcher & Barlow has been recommended as a Leading Firm by The Legal 500, widely acknowledged as the leading guide to law firms in the UK. Published annually, the guide highlights law firms’ and individuals’ achievements over the past 12 months with firms and individuals included purely on merit after a meticulous research process.

The Firm has been recommended for the legal services we provide in the North West in ten practice areas and retained our Top Tier rankings for our Agriculture & Estates and Commercial Property service areas, an excellent recognition of the breadth and depth of our services and market expertise. A total of 29 lawyers are also mentioned by name, commenting on their standout contribution to their respective practice areas.

Congratulations to Mike Bracegirdle who has this year been awarded the Hall of Fame accolade in the Private Client Agricultural Estates category. This accolade recognises Mike as being at the top of the profession and is awarded to those who have been consistently ranked as a Leading Individual by The Legal 500 for a number of years.

Congratulations also to the Commercial Property team who, along with retaining its Tier 1 ranking, have had three team members receive individual recognition. Zoë Paton-Crockett, Partner and Co- Head of Commercial Property, was recognised as a Leading Individual, Partner and Co-Head of Commercial Property Rachel Martin was named as Next Generation Partner and Partner Seema McWilliam was recognised as a Rising Star.
