The Cheshire Ploughing Match 2022
The Agriculture and Rural Affairs Team enjoyed another fantastic day, in surprisingly glorious sunshine, at this year’s Cheshire Ploughing Match.
The Ploughing Match, which tours the county and has a different venue each year, returned after a 4 year absence due to poor weather and the Pandemic. Thanks to the Marrow and Pace families for hosting the event on their land in Brereton this year.
Alongside the ploughing and hedge laying competitions, there were plenty of trade stands, each giving a great insight into Cheshire farming, both for the professional and anyone with an interest in agriculture and rural affairs.
Butcher & Barlow teamed up with Chartered Surveyors to host their stand.
Rebecca Jepson, Partner and Agricultural Property Specialist said of the event:
The Ploughing Match is a fantastic opportunity to catch up with clients, other professional contacts and the rural community generally in a relaxed way. It was godd to have this event back on the calendar after a prolonged absence and well done to the Society for a great day all round.
Visitors were lured to the stand with the smell of a Hog Roast, courtesy of Roach’s Roaster.
We had over 200 people pass through the stand throughout the day – thank you to everyone who came to see us. We look forward to seeing you again next year.
