I am a Solicitor working in Butcher and Barlow’s Top Tier Legal 500 Agriculture and Rural Affairs Team based at the Gadbrook Park office.
I completed my Law LLB Honours and I went on to study the Legal Practice Course at the University of Sheffield. My legal career started in Shropshire where I worked predominantly for landowners, farmers, farm businesses and residential and commercial property across Shropshire and the Midlands. Since then, I have been versatile and adapted into other areas of law including Mental Health and Court of Protection. Here, I went on to achieve my personal membership for Law Society Panel Accreditation (Mental Health) and I represented the more vulnerable members of our society in specialist courts.
I was delighted to join Butcher & Barlow in 2023 having made the decision to go back to my roots and specialise full-time in agriculture and rural affairs. I have had a keen interest in the agricultural industry since I was born having grown up on my family’s arable farm which has diversified through the generations for over a century. I have a first-hand experience of farming and I understand the underlying issues and challenges facing individuals and businesses within industry.
I provide legal assistance to an extensive range of clients from land and estate owners, to tenant farmers, smallholdings and agri-business. I am passionate about getting to know my clients and I strive to support them with practical, straightforward assistance when it comes to making decisions no matter how big or small.
In my spare time I enjoy skiing, travelling and experiencing different cultures. I also enjoy CrossFit and take part in competitions across the country. I am a big foodie, love spending time with friends and family and you’ll regularly find me in the countryside walking my Cocker Spaniel, Reggie.
