I am an Associate Solicitor at Butcher & Barlow having joined the Firm in May 2023. I am part of the Commercial Dispute Resolution department and operate from the Firm’s dedicated commercial office on Gadbrook Park, Northwich.
I have over 13 years dispute resolution experience, acting for high-net worth individuals, owner-managers, SMEs, PLCs and multinational companies on a broad range of complex commercial disputes.
I have particular expertise dealing with:
- business protection / restrictive covenant disputes,
- injunctions,
- defamation,
- reputation management,
- fraud,
- breach of contract claims,
- partnership,
- director and shareholder disputes,
- professional negligence,
- complex debt recovery and general insolvency matters.
I am an experienced litigator, advising clients in relation to all aspects of the dispute resolution process (including alternative dispute resolution such as mediation), and have a proven track record of delivering successful cost-effective outcomes. I pride myself on providing straightforward, commercial advice with the primary aim of ensuring my clients navigate through difficult disputes at proportionate cost.
Outside of work, I undertake a number of voluntary roles in the community which keeps me active; this includes managing my son’s local grassroots football team and being a part of the management committee for the wider Club. I am a keen footballer and regularly play 7-a-side football during the week (although injuries are slowly creeping in with old age and limiting the game time). I also enjoy (well, sometimes…) watching my beloved Manchester United at Old Trafford when time permits.
