I am a Solicitor based at the Firm’s Runcorn and Sutton Weaver offices, and work within the Wills, Tax, Trusts and Estates Department. I have been based in Runcorn since September 2020 and I am enjoying building relationships with clients and local businesses (and also learning about the local history along the way).
I specialise in the following areas:
- Wills;
- Probate;
- Lasting Powers of Attorney;
- Trusts;
- Estate and Tax planning;
- Court of Protection applications;
Given my agricultural background, I also work closely with the Agricultural and Rural Affairs Department at our dedicated Agricultural Office at Gadbrook Park. I am keen to assist all types of agricultural clients, from estates to small tenanted farmers, to ensure that the best estate planning advice is given for all generations.
I graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2016 where I obtained a 2:1 in History and I then began studying the Graduate Diploma in Law at Nottingham Law School. I then advanced onto the Legal Practice Course the following year, also obtaining a Master of Laws.
I joined Butcher & Barlow in July 2018 working as a Paralegal and commenced my Training Contract in September 2019. I then qualified as a Solicitor in September 2021.
My interests outside of work involve most rural pursuits (including shooting – where I can blame the inclement weather for being a poor shot) and watching sports; particularly rugby and horse racing. I also enjoy taking my Cocker Spaniel, Maggie, to every corner of the Peak District.
