I am a member of the Family team at the Firm’s Bury office and have been with the Firm for over 6 years.
I have in excess of 25 years experience in dealing with Family Law cases, having previously worked in legal practices in Trafford, Manchester and Lancashire.
I undertake the following types of work on a regular basis:
- Divorce
- Cohabitation disputes
- Distribution of assets upon separation or divorce
- Disputes between parents and other family members in relation to arrangements for children
- Protective Injunctions
- Cases in relation to social services involvement with children
- International child abduction
Perhaps unusually for the Bury area, I have dealt with a number of international child abduction cases and have a good working knowledge of the Hague Convention and Brussels II in relation to international arrangements to secure the return of abducted children.
I undertake both privately paid work and Legal Aid cases.
A significant number of my cases come to me through referrals from satisfied former clients. I hope that my friendly and down to earth approach helps many of my clients to get through difficult and stressful family law disputes.
Away from work, I enjoy watching live sport, particularly football and rugby. Middle age has brought an end to my rugby playing but I now use my experience from the sport to assist in the administration of an amateur club.
