I am a Solicitor working from the Firm’s Bury office specialising in Residential Property.
After achieving a 2:1 LLB (Hons) and completing the Legal Practice Course at Manchester Metropolitan University, I commenced a Training Contract with Butcher & Barlow in January 2001 and qualified as a Solicitor in March 2003, where I specialised in Residential Property and Wills and Probate until leaving to have my children in February 2010.
Having spent just over five years as a full-time mum, I returned to Butcher & Barlow in June 2015 as a residential conveyancing specialist and now practice purely in this area. In particular, I deal with:
- Residential house and flat sales and purchases;
- Leases;
- New build properties;
- Re-Mortgages;
- Transfers of Equity;
- Private Mortgages/Legal Charges;
- Adverse Possession Claims;
- Declarations of Trust relating to Property Ownership; and
- Transfers of property following inheritance.
I believe in the personal touch and like to meet with clients personally, wherever possible, to take instructions and discuss queries and concerns during what can be the most valuable and stressful transaction a person undertakes.
My time outside work is invariably enjoyed with my young family and in those infrequent moments of free time, I enjoy playing the saxophone, reading and walking.
